Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

This policy covers two things: this website (ali-downloader.com) and the Ali Downloader beta browser extension it distributes. The short version: the extension itself collects nothing — everything it does stays inside your browser — while this website uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand, in aggregate, how it is used.

What the extension does with your data

The extension runs entirely inside your browser. Images and videos you download go straight from the product page to your own computer.
It does not require an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information.
It does not collect, store, transmit, or sell your browsing history, the pages you visit, or the files you download.
It only activates on AliExpress and Alibaba product pages, where it reads the listing's media so you can save it.

What this website collects

This website uses Google Tag Manager to load analytics (such as Google Analytics) that measure aggregated, non-identifying usage — for example which pages are viewed, the approximate region visitors come from, and how they arrive. We use this only to see what is working and improve the site.
These analytics are a third-party service operated by Google, which processes the data on our behalf — see Google's Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it to identify you personally.
They may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser. You can block them with your browser settings or a content blocker, and the site will keep working normally.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Beta software

The extension offered on this site is a pre-release build installed through your browser's Developer mode. It receives no automatic updates: nothing changes on your machine unless you download and install a newer build yourself. You can remove it at any time from your browser's extensions page.

Children

This site and the extension are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes to this policy

If the extension or this site ever starts collecting something new, this page will be updated first and the date above will change. Significant changes will be called out on the download page.
